Quality, health, safety & environment

In 1992, Elektro Internationaal was one of the first electrical engineering companies in the Netherlands to receive ISO 9001 certification. The critical success factor 'quality' is supported daily by adhering to the requirements set in the NEN-EN-IEC61439, NEN1010, and NEN3140.

To create an uninterrupted process flow and a safe working environment, the management is convinced that at least complying with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and meeting the requirements of the VCA standard is an important tool. The management has formulated a policy in the area of safety care, an integral part of the business policy, aimed at striving for:

• The greatest possible safety, the best possible protection of health, and the promotion of well-being at work.
• Minimizing the risk of personal injury to (temporary) employees, subcontractors, and other persons.
• Optimally ensuring the safety of other persons (not employed by Elektro Internationaal).
• Minimizing the risk and extent of material and environmental damage.

Elektro Internationaal is focused on minimizing air, water, and soil pollution, waste, noise, and other nuisances. This is reflected in the following set goals:

• Complying with applicable environmental legislation as set by local, provincial, and national authorities, including the prevention of environmental pollution.
• Working in and maintaining an environment and resources that keep the environmental impact as low as possible.
• Maintaining a good relationship with governments and third parties so that inspections can be minimized.
• Handling waste and hazardous substances in a responsible and established manner;
• Reducing the CO2 footprint in all possible ways through digitization and environmentally friendly activities.
