Grid congestion need not be a limitation.

As of July 1, new national rules apply to the allocation of capacity on the Dutch electricity grid. For companies planning new sites or looking to expand in areas with grid congestion, securing a grid connection is becoming increasingly difficult. Pressure on the electricity grid continues to mount, while the energy demand from businesses is rising. Adopting a different approach to energy is no longer a choice, but a necessity. How can companies continue to grow when access to the power grid can no longer be guaranteed?

Elektro Internationaal demonstrates what is possible despite these limitations. Together with Schneider Electric, they implemented a hybrid AC/DC microgrid integrating solar energy and battery storage. This resulted in a flexible, intelligent energy system that is far less dependent on the traditional electricity supply. Schneider Electric showcased this concept in a short customer story video.
